Crestron® 2 Channel Power Amplifier

The Crestron® AMP-2800 amplifier is designed to complement the Crestron Avia™ family of Digital Signal Processors, and is well-suited for all types of commercial audio applications. The AMP-2800 furnishes two channels of clean, efficient amplification in a space-saving 1 RU rack-mountable chassis. Each channel is configurable for Lo-Z or Hi-Z operation, as well as stereo and bridged modes. Network connectivity enables configuration, monitoring, and control via the Crestron Avia Audio Tool software, a Crestron control system, Crestron XiO Cloud™ service, or Crestron Fusion® software.

The AMP-2800 is engineered to deliver exceptional performance and reliability with low distortion, low noise, and high power headroom. Advanced Class D technology maximizes efficiency to reduce power consumption and heat dissipation. The internal universal power supply with power factor correction ensures consistent performance with varying line voltages.

The AMP-2800 features professional balanced inputs that support input signal levels up to +24 dBu. Rear panel input attenuation controls allow for signal level matching. Remote level control and monitoring is enabled using the Crestron Avia Audio Tool software, or using a touch screen control panel or mobile device through integration with a Crestron control system. Integration with a control system also enables centralized monitoring and control of multiple amplifiers throughout a facility as part of a Crestron Fusion or Crestron XiO Cloud managed enterprise.

The AMP-2800 delivers 800 watts per channel into 4 or 8 ohm “Lo-Z” loads. Each channel is individually configurable via software for use with “Hi-Z” distributed speaker systems (either 70V or 100V). The amplifier can also be configured for stereo or 8 ohm bridged mono operation. Stereo mode enables remote control of a stereo pair of speakers using a single set of controls. Bridged mode allows two channels to be combined to provide a single channel delivering up to 1200 watts into 8 ohms.

Each output channel can be independently configured to throttle the amount of power delivered to connected loudspeakers. Power throttling can be used to protect connected loudspeakers from receiving too much power, making the AMP-2800 a software configurable power amplifier with up to 800 Watts per channel.

The power throttle can also be used for output load balancing. This is useful when mixing different loudspeaker types on adjacent channels such as a subwoofer that requires continuously high power versus a high frequency compression driver with a much lower power requirement. Using Power throttle, the output of the amplifier is provisioned to match the loudspeaker and line drive requirements. Amplifier gain is automatically adjusted such that a 0dBu input will yield the selected power throttle output level. No matter the gain from head-end equipment feeding the amplifier, power throttle will consistently provide an extra level of loudspeaker protection and overall system optimization.

The AMP-2800 features comprehensive protection against overheating, shorted or overloaded speaker lines, excessive signal levels, and other faults. Each channel is independently protected, allowing an individual channel to enter protection mode without interrupting the operation of the other channel. Protection is automatic, quickly disconnecting the speaker line and shutting down the affected channel, and then restoring normal operation once the fault is resolved. Clear indication of any fault is provided on the front panel, and may also be reported to a control system to provide notification on a touch screen or mobile device, through a text message or e-mail, or at a central help desk using Crestron Fusion software or the Crestron XiO Cloud service.

The Crestron® AMP-X300 is a high performance, space saving, energy efficient, professional grade amplifier solution that’s totally configurable, yet simple to use. Whether you need a stereo amp that mounts on a wall or under a table, or a multichannel rack mount amp with multiple output types and power levels, the AMP-X300 is simple to specify and install in any configuration.

LoZ (4/8 Ω) and Hi-Z (70 V or 100 V) Output

The AMP-X300 is a 4-channel amplifier (at 75 W per channel) which can also be configured for 2-channel bridged operation (at 150 W per channel), or 1 channel bridged operation (at 300 W), with a choice of “LoZ” outputs to drive 4- or 8-Ohm speakers, or “Hi-Z” outputs to drive a distributed speaker system (70 V or 100 V). Balanced and unbalanced inputs are provided for connection to two stereo or four mono source(s) via detachable terminal blocks or RCA connectors.

The AMP-X300 features protection against overheating, shorted or overloaded speaker lines, excessive input signals, and other faults. In the case of a shorted speaker line or overheating condition, both outputs mute automatically until the fault condition is resolved. In the event of a prolonged fault, such as an internal component failure, the outputs mute instantly and the amplifier shuts down.

Crestron® X Series 2 Channel Media Presentation Amplifier

The Crestron® AMP-X50MP is a low-cost audio amplifier solution that is suitable for a variety of applications. It features a compact, surface‑mountable design that installs virtually anywhere without requiring an equipment rack.

High-efficiency Class D circuitry delivers 25 W per channel to drive one pair of 4 or 8 Ohm speakers, making it ideal to support stereo speakers at the front of a room or mono speakers in the ceiling. The amplifier can also be used with Hi-Z (70/100 V) speakers, delivering 50 W.

The efficient design provides cool running operation to ensure long term reliability. The AMP-X50MP is high-density stackable with other Crestron X Series and Modular Amplifiers, allowing multiple units to be installed vertically in an equipment rack without needing extra ventilation space.

Installation and setup of the AMP-X50MP is simple. Detachable connectors facilitate the termination of wiring. Balanced and unbalanced inputs can connect directly to the line output of a video projector or display, audio processor, mixer, or AV switcher. Independent controls for volume, bass, and treble allow a custom sound in any location.

The AMP-X50MP features protection against overheating, shorted or overloaded speaker lines, excessive input signals, and other faults. In the case of a shorted speaker line, both outputs mute automatically until the fault condition is resolved.
